Asia Oceania Camping Fellowship Constitution

I. NAME

The name of this organization shall be Asia Oceania Camping Fellowship (Abbreviation : AOCF).

II. PURPOSE

The purpose of AOCF shall be to foster international understanding in Asia and Oceania through the camping and outdoor experience.

III. HEADQUARTERS

The AOCF Steering Committee shall determine the headquarters. The first headquarters office is established in National Camping Association of Japan (NCAJ)'s headquarters.

IV. OPERATIONS

Day-to-day operations of AOCF shall be vested in a Steering Committee. The Steering Committee Member ( Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary General and representatives of each country or region ) shall be elected at every General Meeting. The fiscal term shall be General Meeting through the next General Meeting.

V. GENERAL MEETING

1. General Meeting shall be held during Asia Oceania Camping Congress. A notice of General Meeting shall be sent to all members at their last known addresses at least 90 days in advance of the meeting, along with any motions proposed for action.

2. Members may provide a proxy vote in writing for the General Meeting.

VI. ASIAN CAMPING CONGRESS

Asia Oceania Camping Congress shall be held in the year International Camping Congress is not held. The Host Country and the Organizing Committee shall be elected at General Meeting.

VII. DUES

The dues of AOCF shall be decided at General Meeting.

VIII. AMENDMENTS

Amendments to the Constitution may be made by two-thirds approval of ballots cast in a mail election of the membership, provided a sixty(60)-day written notice is given the membership.

BY-LAWS

I. OBJECTS

The objects of this organization shall be:

  1. To coordinate the exchange of news and information among individuals, camps, outdoor experiences and organizations in different countries.
  2. To encourage and facilitate bi-lateral and multi-lateral exchanges.
  3. To stimulate efforts to achieve international understanding and global living, leadership and ecological action through organized camping and outdoor experience.
  4. To encourage the organization of regional and national camping associations.

These objects should be achieved in the highest ethical framework that stimulates respect and understanding.

II. MEMBERSHIP AND CLASSIFICATION

  1. Membership categories shall be: Individual and Organization(including Camp).
  2. Memberships held by organizations shall be recorded with the name of a person who shall serve as the voting member for said organization.
  3. To be a current member, the applicant must pay the appropriate dues.

III. STEERING COMMITTEE

  1. The Steering Committee shall be composed of President of the Organizing Committee for Asia Oceania Camping Congress, Representatives of National or Regional Camping Associations and others determined at General Meeting.
  2. The Steering Committee member must commit to the following obligations:
    (a) Obtaining funding for travel to the annual meeting of the Steering Committee.
    (b) Understanding that the working language of committee meetings shall be English.
    (c) Agreeing to perform the following duties:
    * Recruit additional ACF members.
    * Assist in international linkage between individuals and/or organizations including the exchange of campers and camp staff.
    * Supply information from each country or region for AOCF E-Mail Newsletter and Website on a regular basis.
    * Survey known information on organized camping in each country or region.
    * Disseminate information on organized camping programs in each country or region.
    * Serve as a member of AOCF Steering Committee.
  3. The Steering Committee Member shall serve a term of General Meeting to General Meeting.

IV. AMENDMENTS
